First time home buyer in Fairlawn

Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are Homes are going for about $267,000 on average. Rent is about $1,095/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I wrong...

Affordable areas near Fairlawn?

Alright, I'm originally from Atlanta and It's a a small town city with about 7,689 people. Poverty rate is 7.7%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
