Working in Marshall -salaries realistic?

Hello, Poverty rate is 11.2%, which is around average. With a population of 13,699, Marshall is a small town. Median household income is $54,815, which feels on the lower side for the area. You can expect to pay around $769 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I wrong here? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Eastside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- The housing market scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
