I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is improving in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Westside) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a contractor and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Miami it's surprisingly good.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much pricey but now it's tough.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Bought a house here in 2023 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
