Curious what people think. We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $843 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. Looking forward to hearing from you all. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great seafood places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
