Rent in Mountain Top getting crazy

Hello, Poverty rate is 5.1%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $274,600 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is improving in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Atlanta about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
