Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $297,700 on average. The median home value here is around $297,700, which seems about average. With a population of 5,520, Spencer is a small town. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What would you do? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
