Is it worth buying in St. Joseph?

Random thought, I'm single, late 40s, and Household incomes average around $75,217 in St. Joseph. The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good.
