Biggest downsides of living in Thurmont?

I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $325,700 on average. With a population of 6,439, Thurmont is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is Thurmont worth moving to in 2026?

First post here. I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,011 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
