What surprised you most about Waynesville?

My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $204,100, which is actually reasonable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here?

Rent in Waynesville getting crazy

Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 5.0%, which is about average. It's a a small town city with about 5,422 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation?

Is public transit usable in Waynesville?

Just moved here 4 months ago and Household incomes average around $75,179 in Waynesville. Rent is about $899/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
