Things Bessemer needs to improve

Longtime lurker here, Am I wrong here? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Moving from Boston to Bessemer next month

Curious what people think. Rent is about $922/month for a decent place. With a population of 25,655, Bessemer is a smaller city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great.
