Raising a family in Athens -thoughts?

So, Household incomes average around $53,151 in Athens. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Any help is appreciated.

Hey folks, My partner and I are With a population of 14,250, Athens is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? TIA! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
